Big changes are happening down here at Port Canal!

One of those changes is the $45 million-dollar redevelopment into the new and improved Port Adelaide Plaza with Stage One due to open in April 2019 which will see the Centre becoming bigger and better with even more places to shop. The Centre, rebranded as Port Adelaide Plaza will provide a new level of convenience for the community of Port Adelaide and surrounding suburbs offering over 60 specialty stores.

So you’ll soon be able to visit stores like Aldi as well as existing favourites: Coles, Kmart, Liquorland, and Kmart Tyre and Auto, indulge in restaurants and cafes such as Funk Coffee + Food, Yiros Central and enjoy the convenience of services Australia Post, Bendigo Bank and brand new childcare centre - Paisley Park Early Learning Centre all under one roof.

Of course, parking is always important, and the Centre will offer over 1,000 free car parks to customers upon completion. Port Adelaide Plaza is set to connect the Port Adelaide Community and revitalise the rapidly growing area.

The most significant retail development of its kind in the local area in 40 years, this upgrade will boost the local economy, creating jobs and opportunities. With its sophisticated design, the Centre will capture the strong history of Port Adelaide while providing a contemporary shopping environment.

For the meantime, it’s business as usual at the Port Canal Shopping Centre during the redevelopment, and you can look forward to hitting the stores at the brand-new Port Adelaide Plaza in April 2019.
